Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola is a carbonated soft drink sold in stores, restaurants and vending machines. It's produced by Coca-Cola Company of Atalanta, and is often referred to simply as Coke. It was invented by John Pemberton in 1886,and it was intended as a patent medicine. The prototype Coca-Cola recipe was formulated at the Eagle Drug and Chemical Company, a drugstore in Colombus, Georgia, originally as a coca wine. It was initially sold for five cents a glass at soda fountains, which was popoular in the U.S. at the time, to the belief that carbonated water was good for the health.
Pemberton claimed Coca-Cola cured many diseases, including morphine addiction, dysepsia, neurasthenia, headache and impotence.
